Manaslu Circuit Trek via Laprak Overview
The Manaslu Circuit Trek via Laprak Village – 19 Days is an exceptional Himalayan adventure combining spectacular mountain scenery, authentic Gurung culture, traditional villages and the challenging crossing of Larkya La Pass (approximately 5,100–5,110 m).
This route begins in Kathmandu and travels by road toward Barpak, followed by trekking through Laprak, Khorlabeshi, Jagat, Pewa, Prok, Lho, Samagaon and Samdo before crossing the high-altitude Larkya La Pass and descending toward Bhimthang, Gowa and Tilche.
The route is particularly special because it includes Laprak Village, a beautiful Gurung settlement and an important part of the cultural landscape of the Gorkha highlands. Instead of simply following the standard Manaslu Circuit approach, this itinerary allows travelers to experience the mountain communities and landscapes around Barpak and Laprak before joining the upper Manaslu trail.
Along the journey, you experience changing landscapes—from cultivated hills and Gurung villages to deep river valleys, alpine terrain, glaciers and high Himalayan passes.

- Steep-sided valleys
- Forests
- River crossings
- Rocky sections
The elevation rises substantially compared with Jagat.Pewa is a small stopping point on the route toward the upper Manaslu villages. This is a demanding walking day, so an early start and steady pace are advisable.

Max. Altitude: Approximately 3,180 m
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Tea house / guest house
Day 10: Lho to Samagaon

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Tea house / guest house

Leave Samagaon and follow the upper Budhi Gandaki Valley toward Samdo. The landscape becomes noticeably more barren and alpine as vegetation decreases with altitude.Samdo lies close to the Tibetan border region and has strong Tibetan cultural influences.Although the walking distance is relatively short, the altitude makes the day more demanding than the statistics alone suggest.

Highest Point: Approximately 5,100–5,110 m
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Tea house / guest house

Max. Altitude: Approximately 3,700 m
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Tea house / guest house
